“The jungle is confronting,” says our friend David Magichands (his playa name) as we are sitting on the porch of his Caribbean-side-jungle-cabina. I’m learning about the sloth that lives in the trees on his property, noni fruit, and the creatures that inhabit the Costa Rican jungle.
In the depths of the rainforest, an abundance of beauty coexists as one complete interdependent orchestra. And, as I learned on my trip to Costa Rica the jungle is beautifully confronting in the same way that life is and can be.
I met howler monkeys that at 4am rouse you to potential nightmares, the grace of orb spider webs, the womb-like ocean, and a 3rd world clinic that had my health in it’s hands, and a deepening of love and partnership. Living in the pulse of life is always confronting and a divine expression of grace.
