6 AM Practice

A poem written after practicing for the first time, in a long time at 6 AM, and the gift of sharing that practice.

Sun rose in your heart at 6:20am
Feet nestled in desert sand, as if on a pilgrimage to the center, the core of earth
Toes digging deeper into you, only to know the root of light-existence
only to rise, only to sit, be in embodiment & soar
lifting warrior arms beyond blue into shared breath
moments marry
coyote peers between pine as witness, as ancestor
connection inter-woven
as we open hearts to oceans
as we nest in our souls.
